Method
4 steps- Cook lentils: Rinse lentils. Add to pot with water, salt, turmeric, tomato, and green chilli. Simmer 20–25 minutes until soft. Mash lightly.
- Prepare tarka: Heat ghee. Add garlic slices and cook until golden.
- Add spices: Add cumin seeds, dried red chillies, and chilli powder; cook 10–15 seconds.
- Finish: Pour hot tarka over lentils. Stir gently. Garnish with coriander and serve.
